On Tuesday 20th May 2026, we were delighted to welcome the High Sherriff of Somerset, Peter Dixon, to the Link Centre. During his visit, he spent time with the children attending our gardening club, chatting with them about their activities and learning more about the projects they have been working on. He also spoke to our Chair and CEO about how we all might support each other over the coming months.
The children enjoyed sharing their gardening experiences and showing off their hard work. The High Sherriff was keen to get involved and joined the group in the garden, helping with some weeding alongside the children and volunteers.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to meet a local community leader and to talk about the importance of gardening, teamwork, and caring for the environment. We would like to thank Peter for taking the time to visit and for his enthusiasm and support.
