The original concept of Taunton East Development Trust was to provide a hub and advice centre for the community. This has transformed over time into the Link Centre, where advice, support, a smile, and a warm welcome is always assured for everyone

Advice, and signposting to support services including council liaison, domestic, health & mobility challenges. Or maybe just a cuppa and a chat!

Summer Holiday Activities

Our volunteers organise multiple activities in the community from summer school clubs, through visiting pets sessions, all the way through to big family events .

Surgery sessions

Surgery Sessions

Various 'surgeries' are available including Housing Benefits & Advice for tenants, and health screening organised through local authorities.

Regular Social Events

Regular coffee mornings are held for different parts of the community, from Golden Oldies, to Knit and Natter

Financial Support

Active Support

For those in dire need, subject to certain criteria, we have the ability to distribute short term relief in terms of food vouchers and emergency grants

A new purpose for Sarah

A new purpose for Sarah

Struggling with health, drugs and historical abuse issues, Sarah started as a volunteer in 2015. Juggling bringing up young children, Sarah gained confidence and skills to such a degree that she was made a full-time employee in 2024, managing Link Power work with the Council, organising family days, and assisting the CEO wherever necessary.
