Our Supporters

We offset our costs to the best of our ability through Community Store and Link Power profits, as well as other initiatives, but we could not survive without the generosity of multiple benefactors and charitable organisations that are listed below.

Barclays

Barclays have been a significant supporter for a number of years.  Over a period of about 18 months, they provided over £60,000 of emergency grants to those in dire need around our community: Taunton Link identified deserving families, and provided justification against set criteria provided by Barclays. And as a legacy of their contribution to the Taunton Link community, Barclays have provided a database system to allow the charity to properly assess its impact on the community

Somerset Community Foundation

Somerset Community Foundation are long term partners of Taunton Link.  They have provided advice and guidance on regional opportunities.  Most significantly, they have provided grants for our seasonal events and funds which go directly to those most in need in the community. And SCF were instrumental in ensuring that the set-up costs for the Link Community Store were manageable, ensuring the long-term future of the store

National Lottery - Open Day

The National Lottery Community Fund

Taunton East Development Trust would not be here today but for the National Lottery Community Fund.  We entered into a 5 year plan with TNLCF in 2020, which not only offset some of our running costs, but also allowed us to purchase a minibus, and provide multiple events in the community, including street cricket for children. We continue to work with TNLCF to exploit ongoing opportunities

PC Comms

PC Comms have kindly identified Taunton East Development Trust as one of their nominated charities for 2025.  PC Comms are entering a swimathon fundraising event in February 2025. Taunton Link will be one of the beneficiaries of funds raised. Taunton Link are hugely grateful for PC Comms' generosity. And it is a great example of local businesses supporting charities in the community which make a difference.
